Valentine's Day+25

After the tea party shoot, Briar and I had a little Valentine's day shoot for funsies! She is such a doll and sometimes she just cracks herself up! We had so much fun yesterday and I can't thank Darci and Tyler enough for their continued support of B.Davis Photography! Can't wait for the many more fun sessions with this precious family! 

Day 25-- Because, I have such talented and awesome friends! This is one of my favorite necklaces ever. I wear it almost everyday! So, thank you Katy for being so awesome and telling me to get the necklace instead of the bracelet... always listen to the experts! :)

They are one of my favorites. They have been with me since the beginning of my photography journey and I am so thankful each time they ask me to capture one of their family milestones. From pre-engagment photos to christmas photos to first birthdays to wedding to family photos, I have just loved having them as clients and friends ... (I grew up with them both so they are stuck with having me as a friend forever, haha)

Thank you for sticking with me from the beginning-- like back in the days when I thought a tilted photo was a good idea and sometimes shot on auto because manual settings weirded me out! And, thank you for being the most stylish and fun little family to hang out with!

Little Miss Honey Bee Pageant 2014

This past weekend was a busy one starting with a pageant and ending with a beautiful, foggy family session!

But, before I blog about the rest of the weekend, I need to take a post to talk about the Little Miss Honey Bee Pageant.

You see, I am from a small town. Also, known as the "Land of Milk and Honey!" Every year we have a festival the first Saturday in December appropriately named "The Minco Honey Festival." The festival is always filled with tradition and last year they started a new tradition ... thus the pageant was born.

It is such a wonderful new addition. The little contestants are students in the local school and are as cute as they can be. This year I had two of the contestants ask me to come and take pictures of them while they compete and then a few photos afterwards... just something fun while they were all gussied up! I immediately said "yes" because I knew these two girls are just absolutely precious and their families are two of my favorites!

Therefore, meet Aspyn and Hallie!

These two are absolutely the sweetest girls. I can't tell you how excited they were for each other after the pageant. To see young girls sharing so much joy is a lesson we could all learn from! Their families are definitely raising them right!

And, did I mention how beautiful these two are and don't even get me started on their dresses. Just beautiful! Here are a few of my favorites from the day... although, I have a lot more look at before I pick my top favorites!

Tate Turns TWO

Haaaaave you met Tate?

I am semi-obsessed with my Tater! He is my little nephew (by best friend, Lori) and he is turning the T-W-O! I can't believe it! It seems just like yesterday when Audrey, Shae, Annessa and I were planning a baby shower and now ... now he is two!

He is the funniest, little sticky person ever. He is a basketball playing fool, a ladies man and the mascot of the cheer squad. If he isn't engrossed in a monster movie or Family Guy, he is probably working on his basketball skills. He can almost slam dunk ... better watch out, KD!

I am so glad Lori lets me be "Auntie Brenna" and it makes my day when I get to see him ... because lets face it ... he is adorable (not that I am biased or anything) and hilarious!

THE BIG O-N-E

This sweet little guy turned the bing o-n-e a couple of weeks ago and I was so excited to photograph such a big day in his life. Baby P was the cutest little thing ever. His eyes were so expressive even if he wasn't actually smiling, you could tell his little heart was happy. Baby P is in foster care and living with two of the sweetest, most caring people possible. I pray for the very best for Baby P and his foster family. I can't actually post many pictures from this session or show you his cute little face, but Baby P made sure to give me some that I could share! I share these to raise awareness about foster care in Oklahoma. There are many children in our state that need loving and caring people in their lives and I can tell you ... Baby P is one of the lucky ones!

Sandlot

A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to take t-ball team pictures for a super cute t-ball team. They were so fun and so well-behaved (maybe because they knew they could jump in the pool as soon as pictures were over, but I don't mind!)

I couldn't resist sharing this one. He walked up in front of me and posed like this before I gave him an instructions at all. It reminds me of something from "Sandlot" aka my favorite movie of all time. I did eventually have him stand like the other kiddos did, but not before I snapped a few with him like this! I had so much fun spending time with these cuties before their end of the year swim party. By the time I could walk back to the Brummell's house, they were already jumping into the pool ... so I am assuming they had a great night! 

Thank you to the parents of these little t-ballers! I so enjoyed spending time with you all!

Being as today is "throwback  Thursday," I thought I would throwback to one of my favorite cake smash sessions with one of my favorite girls. 

Zaylie turned one almost a year ago and I had the pleasure of taking her pictures. She never disappoints. She is the sweetest and the cutest little one. And, her mom and I just set up her two year birthday pictures to take place at the end of the month! I am oh so excited to take her Minnie Mouse inspired photos and I have a couple of new things I am planning on trying out on Miss Zaylie! Can't wait to see you girls on the 20th!
